“Spring Bash & Art Splash” – Event

On Friday, April 11, Sarasotans will gather at 2035 Fruitville Rd in downtown Sarasota for a “Spring Bash & Art Splash” event to support the work of Equal SRQ in combating the addiction crisis plaguing our community.

EqualSRQ, inc is a 501(c)(3) corporation committed to improving mental, physical, behavioral, and emotional wellness for persons affected by substance use disorder in Sarasota County.

All are invited to participate in the SQUARE FOOT ART SHOW!

Local fine artists have contributed original 12″x12″ artworks to show their support for our friends and neighbors living with substance use disorder.

Each work is priced at $100 with proceeds split 50/50 with the artists.

Attendees can purchase art for themselves or buy and give a piece to one of ESRQ’s participants in recovery

Our goal for the Art Show is to make art ownership accessible to individuals in early recovery, connecting them to a source of beauty and inspiration as they rebuild their lives.

 All sponsors will be featured prominently in our communications and at the event.

$1,000 gives up to ten paintings to neighbors in recovery and helps ESRQ pay our Peer Interns in Training a living wage.

$500  gives up to five paintings to neighbors in recovery and helps ESRQ reach participants through non-traditional paths such as expressive art journaling, beading, dual recovery anonymous, mindful meditation and WRAP, among others.

$100 gives a painting to a neighbor in recovery and helps keep gas in our mobile recovery unit bringing recovery services to folks wherever in town they may be.

We are so grateful to join hands with in ending the scourge of substance use disorder in our community.

The state-licensed peers at EqualSRQ provide the support and guidance needed to navigate addiction recovery. We help adults in Sarasota find and maintain a recovery identity through peer mentorship, peer-facilitated support groups, recovery events, a leadership development program and a recovery community center. When people in recovery get to the place where “I just can’t.” Together we can.
